„Go Back“ by John Summit is a collaboration with UK dance artist Sub Focus and UK artist/vocalist Julia Church. It’s a classic dance smash from John that flips into a drum & bass record in the second half – merging genres & sounds that are synonymous with John & Sub Focus individually. Pre release, John started teasing „Go Back“ in all of his live sets – including his closing set at Coachella’s Sahara Tent to tens of thousands of fans. Here are a few release highlights to-date:
Reached 30M streams on Spotify
Peaked at #12 on Billboard ‚Hot Dance/Electronic Songs‘ chart
Reached #5 on Billboard ‚Dance/Mix Show Airplay‘ radio chart
Peaked as most played song at Triple J (Australia)
Premiered as ‚Hottest Records‘ with Jack Saunders on BBCR1

July 12, 2024 (Los Angeles, CA): Today, multi-genre artist and global dance sensation, John Summit, releases his highly anticipated debut album, Comfort in Chaos, out now via Darkroom/Experts Only. Experts Only is a house, tech-house, and techno music label & events brand founded by Summit.
With Comfort in Chaos, Summit reveals the man behind the icon, injecting his usual body-first approach to dance music with genuine heart and emotion. Summit strived to push himself musically and emotionally, tapping into a part of his identity that might not be immediately apparent to many fans. Fans old and new will find moments of extraordinary beauty (and hedonism) across the album, which nods to Summit’s core Chicago house roots while touching on UK-leaning genres he loves like garage, liquid and dancefloor drum & bass.
The powerhouse musician honors dance music’s history while pushing the genre forward with passion, grace, and fun. The album’s focus track “Tears (with Paige Cavell)” is an old-school trance inspired, dance floor smash featuring striking vocals from Cavell that Summit says “starts off as John Schuster and ends as John Summit.” All aspects of Comfort In Chaos – vice and virtue, good and bad, total human duality – are captured in this one powerful, sharply rendered song.
John Summit has been on a nonstop tear, currently on a high following his exhilarating, sold-out headline performance at Madison Square Garden (where tickets sold out two hours upon announcement earlier this year). He recently announced his partnership with Bose and released collaborations with eight-time GRAMMY Award-nominated musician Kaskade (“Resonate”) and dance music virtuoso, drum & bass pioneer Sub Focus, featuring Julia Church (“Go Back”), to major acclaim. This Spring, he performed two electrifying sets at Coachella, including a massive solo set closing out the Sahara Tent as one of the headlining acts along with an unforgettable performance with Dom Dolla as Everything Always at the Outdoor Theatre along with two exhilarating performances at EDC (one solo and another closing out the festival B2B with Green Velvet). Additional album singles, “EAT THE BASS” and magical collaborations with hotly tipped and in demand UK artist/singer & songwriter HAYLA, “Shiver” and the newly RIAA-gold certified “Where You Are,” have made waves on dance floors everywhere. He’s on the road on a global

run of shows with stops in Mykonos, Ibiza, Montreal, Melbourne, Auckland, Sydney, Chicago, and many more.
His rise in the dance music scene has been nothing short of meteoric, being the only DJ named in Forbes 30 under 30 list along with a significant callout as the next “dance music sensation” in Rolling Stone’s Future 25, selling out his first stadium headline show (22,000 tickets) at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium last December.
