„Als Du gingst“ wurde 2016 von Sängerin & Songwriterin Lina Maly geschrieben und mitkomponiert und zurecht zu einem kleinen Fan-Favoriten. Fast zehn Jahre später hat der multitalentierte Contec dem Song moderne Beats verpasst, die perfekt mit Linas intensiver Stimme harmonieren. Der Hintergrund und die Entstehung der neuen Version sind von einem traurigen Schicksalsschlag überschattet. Der 23-jährige Contec widmet „Als Du gingst (Edit)“ seinem verstorbenen Freund Moritz und erzählt, wieviel Kraft ihm die Lyrics geben. „Der Track war für mich Trauer-Verarbeitung, aber auch gleichzeitig ein Aufbruch. Ich hätte niemals gedacht, wieviel er in Bewegung setzen würde.“ Mit der Idee zu einer Version von „Als Du gingst“ wurde Contecs Trauer in Kreativität umgeleitet und gemeinsam mit Lina Maly ein Denkmal für seinen Freund erschaffen: „Für Dich Moritz.
