AVALAN – For Nothing

Some songs are written for the dance floor. Others are written for the moments after everyone has gone home.
For Nothing exists somewhere in between.
With For Nothing, Avalan allows listeners closer than ever before. Not by reinventing himself, but by revealing more of what was already there.
Driven by cinematic electronic production, intimate vocals and restrained songwriting, For Nothing explores what happens when the noise around you becomes louder than your own thoughts. It is a song about identity, perception and the quiet courage required to remain true to yourself in a world that constantly tells you who you should be.
At the heart of the record lies a simple but deeply human question: Who are you when everyone else thinks they already know?
The lyrics move between moments of vulnerability and resilience. Lines such as “Some see the inside, one moment in time” and “Some think that I’m good for nothing” aren’t written as statements of defeat, but as reflections on the weight of being misunderstood. Rather than searching for certainty, For Nothing embraces the uncertainty that often accompanies growth.
For Nothing continues the world Avalan has quietly been building over recent years. A place where emotional songwriting and electronic music exist without compromise. Every sound exists to serve the emotion beneath it. It feels equally at home in front of thousands of people as it does through a pair of headphones long after midnight.
The song emerged during a period where outward success and inward uncertainty existed side by side. International stages, collaborations and career milestones were followed by quieter moments of reflection—moments that ultimately became the foundation for this record. Rather than documenting achievement, For Nothing documents what often remains unseen behind it.
AVALAN, ON “FOR NOTHING”
“For Nothing isn’t really about proving people wrong. It’s about learning that your value can’t depend on how other people see you. We spend so much time trying to live up to expectations—our own and everyone else’s—that we sometimes lose sight of who we actually are. This song came from one of those moments. I hope it reminds people that not every question needs an answer immediately. Sometimes simply continuing to move forward is enough.”
Over the past few years, Avalan has built an international presence through emotionally driven releases, collaborations with some of electronic music’s most respected names and performances on stages including Tomorrowland’s Freedom Stage, Ushuaïa Ibiza and A State of Trance. Yet rather than looking back, For Nothing deliberately looks inward.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
Following the success of AVALAN ROKSTON, Avalan now steps into a singular artistic identity, while longtime creative collaborator Rokston remains closely involved in the music. Rather than representing a departure, the evolution reflects something that has always been present beneath the surface: a desire to create songs where emotion comes before expectation.
Because for Avalan, electronic music has never been about escaping emotion.
It’s about finding it.

AVALAN ROKSTON – Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? Ft. Moby

https://promo.fatdrop.co.uk/e/245063JJhBWMEWcACGyPn11Z9Er5LiCuC2wpPAT9

AVALAN ROKSTON: „Wir haben Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad? zuerst am 3.
