InMyDreams
Belgian selector Yves V is back on Reliant Records promising a passion-filled ballad with vocals from the award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Simon Ward on their debut track together, ‘In My Dreams.
’ The track combines Simon Ward’s folk style of singing with the immense sounds of the main-stage genre Tomorrowland’s longest-resident DJ, Yves V, is known for. Together they deliver a joyous track, bound to increase listeners’ dopamine.
‘In My Dreams’ begins with the warmth of the acoustic guitar and the raw emotion of Simon Ward’s vocals, capturing the hearts of listeners within the first few seconds of the track. The nature of the lyrics shakes off any feelings of anxiety and what-ifs and transforms them into a positive attitude, supported by the major key of the harmonies in the music.
As the song progresses, the light and airy synth melodies echo the guitar’s chord progressions, slowly but surely melting the electronic and acoustic sonics together for the uplift of the chorus. The euphoric build-up of exhilarating synth stabs and iconic vocables swirls into an explosion of pure bliss.
The track captures the happiness found on the dancefloor and combines that exact feeling in a 3-minute song.
‘In My Dreams’ by Yves V and Simon Ward is out later this August, releasing via Reliant Records.
